1.      Jesper Blomqvist attracted Ferguson's attention when, almost 
        single-handed, he humbled Manchester United with a 3-1 defeat 
        by the Swedish side in 1994. Ferguson didn't forget Blomqvist,
        and tried to sign him up three times without success. On the 
        fourth attempt, Ferguson succeeded! If at first you dont succeed,
        try, try, try, and try again!

2.      Blomqvist only wanted to become a footballer at the age of 16 - 
        before this he wanted to be an airline steward!

3.      When Ferguson was trying, unsuccessfully, to sign-up Blomqvist,
        the Manchester manager said "Looking back I should have tried harder
        to bring cover for Ryan Giggs on the left side. I did try to buy 
        Blomqvist from AC Milan but they wouldn't sell him. They eventually
        let him go and perhaps I should have pushed them harder."
