CLUB AND PLAYERS - HOT NEWS

Wednesday 08/07/99

Edgar Davids, the Dutch midfielder from Juventus, was thought to be ready to fly to England today, hoping to become Manchester United's third #10 million man! Twenty six year old Davids has plenty of top flight experience, and not only with Juventus - he has also played for AC Milan. Davids has been unhappy recently when Juventus boss Carlo Ancelloti used him as bait to try and lure Christian Vieri from Lazio. Ferguson would use Davids in the midfield as a fiery partner to Keane - the combination would would make the United midfield truly awesome!
